My name is Lori Mulsoff and I am a writer living in Wisconsin. When I was a kid, I wanted to be an actress, then a marine biologist, then a writer, then a mathematician, then a geologist, then a writer, then back to being a geologist.
Confused yet? It took me awhile to figure it all out, trust me. I spent 14 years being a scientist, ranging from geology to wastewater permit writing.
Yet here I am: a middle aged girl with a dream to get published. I have a couple of stories to send out into the world and I'm hard at work to make it happen.
By my side are my patient husband and beloved daughter. Let's not forget our two dogs and cat, who spend their days keeping me company as I type away from dawn til dusk.
I am still a child in my heart and soul. These days I live out my little daydreams in the stories that I write in hopes of spreading joy and injecting a spark of innocence into someone’s day.
I am playful, thoughtful, a star-gazer. I look beyond what is real into the realm of the dreamers. I want to speak directly to the inner child in all of us. There is enough darkness in this world and my way to combat it is through lightness: lightness in word and in action.
I will be a source of light.
I want to give the world the playful thoughts running through my mind and to provide kids accessible stories that they can relate to.
I want kids to be able to look at a character in my book and say, "That's me! I am not alone."
I want kids to know they belong and feel sustained by that knowledge.
